Cobra 3D Printed Tour Irons Go Mainstream—Plus New King Hybrid and Wedges

Cobra continues to push manufacturing technology with full-release 3D printed irons plus new MIM wedges and King hybrids

As an equipment company, Cobra has always punched well above their weight—and now golfers are finally starting to really take notice. Whether it be by pushing the use of materials and aerodynamics to advance drivers, or by investing in alternative manufacturing processes to generate never-before-seen performance.

After unveiling their new Future Fit 33 adapter system as part of the new DS Adapt series of drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids, Cobra is ready to launch three new products to kickstart the 2025 season and round out their line up; the 3DP Tour irons, King Tec Hybrids, and King Wedges.

What is at the core of these new Cobra line additions?

These three new releases have natural fits inside of the already existing product line and expand Cobra’s ability to fit a larger group of golfers through the bag. They also utilize cutting edge manufacturing processes to create products with extremely tight tolerances and unique performance characteristics.

Core design features

Future Fit 33 Adapter

The new King Tech Hybrid features the same FF33 adapter system as the new DS Adapt line which allows for precise loft and lie angle fitting.

“FUTUREFIT33 is a true breakthrough in metalwood fitting,” said Jose Miraflor, VP of Product Architecture and Consumer Connections at Cobra Puma Golf. “Never before has any hosel system provided 33 unique loft and lie settings that can be adjusted so quickly and easily. 33 settings is more than four times our previous hosel system and more than double our nearest competitor.”

Carbon crown and Adjustable Weighting

The lightweight nature of the carbon used in the crown of the King Tec hybrids helps to save weight to be repositioned around the head for greater stability. This includes 14 grams of moveable weight (12 and 2-gram weights on the sole) to fine-tune trajectory.

Forged PwrShell Face Insert

This forged face insert allows the face to gain flexibility without reducing strength, this helps to generate more ball speed and higher launch.

Complex Internal Lattice Structure

Made possible with 3D Printing - The 3D Printed Tour irons have an internal structure that not only supports the face and creates an extremely soft and pleasing sound at impact, but it also reduces the amount of weight used in the heads by 33%.

This added strength, plus mass savings, gives engineers the ability to use up to 100g of tungsten per head to dramatically increase the forgiveness of the set, without increasing the geometry. This gives the set game improvement-like stability, but in a set shaped for better players.

Flight Window and Progressive Spin Technology

By strategically positioning the mass throughout the various wedge loft options, Cobra engineers can provide golfers with extra control over trajectory and spin. A progressive groove design through the lofts also helps create more friction at impact. This means using narrower and deeper grooves on the lower lofted wedges and wider, shallower grooves on the higher lofted ones—which are used more often for partial and open-faced shots.

“Achieving optimum spin and trajectory control on wedge shots is key to scoring. MIM technology helps us produce wedges with tighter tolerances for exceptional consistency while F.W.T. allows for optimal CG location throughout the full range of lofts," Chad DeHart, Sr. Product Line Manager at Cobra Golf said. "Together the two technologies, with the addition of the new grind options, provide golfers the ultimate versatility in our most advanced wedges to date.”

Newest Cobra Club Models

King Tec hybrids

This new hybrid offer a smaller footprint for better players looking for more control and forgiveness than a utility iron. Its also available in a One-Length configuration.

Price $300 each

3D Printed Tour irons

These irons are targetted towards golfers who want maximum forgiveness in a compact iron shape. If these specs sound familiar, its because this is a full retail release version of the previously released LIMIT3D irons from last year. And for the first time, they will also be available in left-handed.

“The 3D printed LIMIT3D irons were the first commercially available 3D printed clubs, and they sold out so quickly we had to make more,” Mike Yagley, Vice President of Innovation & AI, Cobra Golf. “The new COBRA 3D PRINTED TOUR irons offer the same premium construction, performance, and feel, but will now be available as a standard Cobra model.”

Price $2450 (7-piece set 4-PW, with a 3-iron and gap wedge also available)

King and King X wedges

The Cobra King wedges offer tour-centric shaping along with four grind options to help golfers find the right fit for their short game and swing type.

Wedges grind include:

Drop (D-grind) - For golfers who are steeper into the ball, take larger divots, and or play in softer conditions.

WideLow (W-grind) - A wider sole, low bounce wedge that is ideal for softer sand and ground conditions

Versatile (V-grind) - A great all-around option with added relief around the back and sides of the sole making it easy to open and close the face in varying turf conditions.

You (T-grind) - Only available in the highest lofted 58 and 60 degree wedges, this T-grind is inspired by Cobra’s tour staff who asked for maximum heel and toe relief on the sole.

Price $170 in Satin Chrome and Black QPQ and $190 in Raw (custom order only)

The King X wedges utilize the same MIM manufacturing process as the King wedges but feature an undercut cavity for added forgiveness and and TPU insert for exceptional feel.

Price $170
